INKLINGS LONDON X MULIERIS PANEL: Is Print Media Dead?

£25.00

A panel on the past, present and future of written content in collaboration with MULIERIS Magazine.

WHEN: Wednesday 29th July

WHERE: sevente, hackney 7pm - 9.30pm

In the age of disappearing attention spans, a 24-hour news cycle and algorithms that dictate what does and what doesn't get seen, what's actually left for print?

Joining forces with MULIERIS Magazine, we'll chat to three important voices in the online and offline media space to dig into one of the juiciest questions on the publishing block right now. Is print dying, evolving or merely just having a brief resurgence? And where does long-form, considered writing fit into a world that never stops moving?

The evening will open with a moderated discussion led by journalists and Inklings hosts Tiffany Forbes (Refinery29, VICE, PedestrianTV, Fashion Journal) and Amanda Gunn (Broadsheet, Service95, Business Insider) followed by an audience Q&A, so come with questions.

Greta Futura, Editor in Chief and Founder of MULIERIS Magazine

The woman behind a successful independent magazine, who can speak to what it actually takes to start a print publication from scratch, why she believed in it and what the independent magazine space looks like right now.

Bea Isaacson, Contributing Writer for PAPER Magazine and Freelancer for British Vogue, Rolling Stone UK, i-D, Conde Nast Traveller and more.

Covering everything from Zara Larsson's stardom to her love of situationships for Vogue, Bea will share what it's really like to build a freelance writing career today and what it means to strike the balance between print and online.

Cora-Jane Jordon, The New York Times (ex-Social Media Journalist at The Times)

With a front-row seat to how one of Britain's most established newspapers has navigated the digital age, Cora brings a unique perspective on how journalism is being reshaped in real time.
